<p> The primary role of the Ranger (Parking) is to focus on parking enforcement within the City. In this capacity, you will be required to undertake patrols and inspections, investigate complaints, issue warnings and infringements and participate in and promote education and public awareness programs regarding community safety matters.</p>
<p> It is essential that you hold a relevant qualification and experience in Ranger Services, have a thorough knowledge of relevant acts and local laws and the ability to interpret legislation. You are also required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence is essential.</p>

<p>We are seeking a full-time, Ranger to join the Community Law and Safety Team, with a clear focus on community liaison, education and efficient administration of local laws relating to dogs, parking, firebreaks, litter, parking and off road vehicles.</p>
<p>The successful applicant must be confident to work independently as well as being an effective and accountable team member. This position is required to work 80 hours per fortnight, including some weekends and public holidays. One rostered day off is provided in lieu of working the 80 hour fortnight. Additional allowances for overtime and on call responsibilities are provided. Relocation assistance may be available for the successful applicant.</p>
<p>A starting salary of $62,231 per annum (which includes a 15% shift loading for all ordinary hours worked, for an employee who is regularly rostered to work weekends) is being offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.</p>
