Ranger Team of the Year 2024 – City of Nedlands

 

WA Rangers Association is proud to announce City of Nedlands as Ranger Team of the Year for 2024, recognising the outstanding achievements and dedication of their team throughout the year. This award honours their collective efforts, each member contributing uniquely to the success of Ranger Services.

Key Achievements for 2024

  • Community and Welfare Initiatives:

The team spearheaded a successful council welfare donation campaign and staff drive for Cat Haven and Shenton Park Dog Refuge, demonstrating a deep commitment to animal welfare and community support.

  • Enhanced Community Engagement:

Rangers took a leading role in community engagement programs, working diligently to shift perceptions of Ranger Services. Their proactive approach in engaging with residents has fostered positive relationships and enhanced community trust.

  • Knowledge Sharing and Public Speaking:

Rangers have actively shared their expertise with key organisations, including Australia Post and Central Regional TAFE. They have also embraced opportunities for public speaking and involvement in new initiatives, showcasing their leadership and dedication to professional growth.

  • Education and Awareness Programs:

The team has been instrumental in delivering educational content through social media on critical topics such as “Dogs in Cars,” “Snake Season,” “Swooping Magpies,” and “Shark Alerts.” Their support for the local Surf Life Saving Club further highlights their commitment to public safety and community education.

  • Robust Afterhours Operations:

The Rangers have developed a robust after-hours process to address a wide range of issues beyond their usual scope of work. This includes managing emergencies like fallen trees, using mobile apps for remote access to building and irrigation issues, and responding to building damages, ensuring high service standards around the clock.

  • Process Improvement and Technology Adoption:

The team consistently reviews and refines processes, embracing new technologies to enhance efficiency and maintain high service levels. Their commitment to innovation ensures that Ranger Services remain effective and responsive to the needs of the community.

This year’s Ranger Team of the Year has demonstrated exceptional dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Their contributions have significantly enriched the City of Nedlands, and we celebrate their achievements with great pride.
