The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley
Is located in a picturesque and rugged, sparsely populated northeast corner of Western Australia (WA) and is one of the world’s last wilderness frontiers. As a global tourism attraction it is known for luxury accommodation, great food and friendly locals, and is an amazing and very unique part of Australia.
Reporting to the Senior Ranger and Emergency Services Coordinator, this role is responsible for assisting to initiate and implement enforcement of the Dog Act 1976, Cat Act 2011, Bushfires Act 1954, Litter Act 1979 and the Local Government Act 1995 in relation to stock control and other miscellaneous legislation in accordance with Council policy and Local Laws and to ensure the protection of amenities for residents of the Shire.
This position is required to work a rotating roster including on-call and weekends.
The successful applicant will be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months), pass a pre-placement medical assessment and provide copies of a current unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence and relevant qualifications in order to be eligible for the position.
